With the new Pulse 2 update, I now have access to the equalizer and waves mode, along with better audio quality. On comments questioning the Bluetooth, you must open you settings, go to Bluetooth, and CLICK on your device! It does not connect automatically! Items such as adjusting bass, treble, and mid are NOT accessible (4 star), but is said to be accessible in the JBL music app that I am downloading and will write a review on shortly after tests. The connectivity between app and speaker seems spot on while the app may only be needed to update the speaker, and not used every time you use your Pulse 2 speaker (buttons are preset onto speaker after update). HOWEVER, the app WILL NOT connect sometimes. In order to fix this, turn off your Bluetooth and speaker and attempt to reconnect over and over till it connects. This mainly happens when more than 1 device is being used on the speaker.
